Voluntary Consultant -Alokito Teachers

I provide consultancy in school development initiatives connecting community programs, teacher training, and curriculum design.

Member - Student Advisory Committee, UMass, Amherst
​
I raised funds for as well as organized diverse events as a student advisory to strengthen the relationship within the community; to build networking; and to accelerate students' professional development. For example, I raised funds for our annual conference at the college of education. Also, I attended regular faculty meetings on behalf of students to talk about what needs to be done for students' and the college's welfare. Additionally, I organized seminars like, resume writing; showcasing students', faculties', and prominent educationalists' theory and research and the like.

I taught English and Bangla at grades five through eight. In those six months of teaching, all I wanted to do as an educational changemaker is to nurture learners’ language and multiliteracies by project works, games, and storytelling with a focus on their social and emotional learning.

It is a voluntary professional network and its goal is to serve the education sector of Bangladesh. It aims to accelerate the development of secondary education in Bangladesh. As a Member of ATEB, I have been actively involved in planning and supervising of educational development activities of this association, which include organizing various seminars, workshops and awareness raising programs inside government teachers’ training colleges across the country.

As a Member of Language Club, I was actively involved in writing different essays on language education concentrating the up-to-date issues of education and society. I organized programs on various cultural activities of the country. Also, I published wall magazines with writings leading to creative writing on the contemporary issues of language education across the country- the major constraints and probable solutions. Furthermore, I inspired, collected, organized, and published students’ writing while working for the club.

As a member of Social Gathering, I was actively involved in planning, monitoring and supervising co-curricular activities for trainee teachers to nurture their ethical, cultural, and professional values.
